[Home][Meetings][Education][Legislative Update][Grant Program][Scholarships]
Arkansas Ambulance Association
In accordance with the By Laws of the Arkansas Ambulance Association, it is time to call for nominations for Directors that wish to serve the Association.

Serving on the Board provides tremendous opportunities for you to help steer the course of your association, work with other EMS leaders from across the state and nation, play a key role in influencing issues of importance in EMS, and represent the interests of all EMS professionals.

Serving as a Board of Director also carries a tremendous responsibility. Board members are expected to participate in frequent meetings many of which are held via conference call, participate on committees and in work groups, represent the Association at EMS events and conferences, and attend the ArAA Annual Meeting. Board members are responsible for the general management and oversight of the affairs of the Association, including its finances, organization, programs and positions.

Members in good standing that wish to serve as a Director should carefully review the By Laws document and complete the online CANDIDATE NOMINATION FORM. The ArAA Nominating Committee will review your request and certify that you are eligible for placement on the ballot. The following qualifications apply and must be considered before seeking a Director’s postion:

1.Be the designated representative of a member of the ArAA, in good standing;

2.Commit to attend at least fifty percent of the ArAA meetings per year (including participation in ArAA sponsored conference calls), be ready to devote time and effort to matters which concern the Board of Directors and to actively participate in all Board activities;

3.Be prepared to assist other ArAA members with concerns and problems which relate to the ambulance industry and the workings of the ArAA; and,

4.Understand that these positions provide no compensation for time or reimbursement for expenses.  All travel-related expenses, including transportation, lodging and food are the responsibility of the individual and/or their sponsoring organization.

No person shall hold more than one position simultaneously. Nomination forms must be submitted via the website no later than June 23, 2023. Ballots will be prepared and mailed to all ArAA member agencies no later than July 3, 2023, and the results of the elections will be presented at the Annual Meeting to be held in August 2023. Should you have any questions, please contact Ken Kelley, ArAA Secretary/Treasurer at 870-875-2273 or email at
