2025 - 2026 ArAA EMS DEVELOPMENT GRANT PROGRAM

The ArAA EMS Development Grant Application period for the 2025-2026 cycle is now live.

Please note: A single grant application may be submitted for multiple licenses.

Application & Processing Timeline:

  • July 1, 2025 - August 15, 2025: ArAA EMS Development Grant Application Period
  • August 16, 2025 - September 30, 2025: Grant Application Review Period
  • By September 30, 2025: Applicants will be notified of application approval or denial
  • October 1, 2025 - May 31, 2026: Grantees may expend funds in accordance with the grant policy (Review policy here)

See Act 7 for further details. A percentage of the Arkansas Citizens First Responder Safety Enhancement Fund is appropriated for the ArAA. Wellness Survey for Public Safety

The Foundation for First Responder Wellness & Resiliency, in partnership with Nova Southeastern University, has launched an expanded national wellness survey for current and retired public safety personnel. Building on a 2019 study, the survey aims to better understand how job-related stress, trauma, and organizational culture affect mental health and resilience.

American Ambulance Association - Stars of Life Nominations Due September 30!

The American Ambulance Association’s Stars of Life program honors outstanding EMS professionals for their exceptional service. The 2025 event will be held November 3–5 in Washington, DC, with an option for local celebrations. Honorees are recognized through special events and have the chance to advocate for EMS on Capitol Hill.

2025 Arkansas Legislative Session: Tax & Incentive Policy Updates

The federal budget bill signed on July 4 introduces major changes to Medicaid and the Health Insurance Marketplace. While rural health funding provisions will begin sooner, other changes are delayed. In Arkansas, the impacts concern Medicaid provider taxes, rural services, eligibility, and cost sharing, as well as marketplace tax credits and enrollment rules.
